Natural Products Scandinavia 2018

Athens, 20 November 2018| Greek companies took part for the first time at the Natural Products Scandinavia Expo, held in Malmö, Sweden, on 14 and 15 November 2018, participating in large numbers to showcase the quality of Greek products.
The national delegation, organized by Enterprise Greece, comprised 52 Greek businesses, either attending on their own account or with the support of the Regions of Central Macedonia, Crete and Central Greece. The large number of Greek participants confirms, among other things, the continuing export orientation of Greek producers who are stepping up their export efforts and penetrating new foreign markets. In the first eight months of 2018, Greek exports grew by 16% (including oil products).
The Greek exhibitors held more than 1,000 business meetings with businesses across Scandinavia during which they had the opportunity to present the high-quality natural and organic food and personal care products made in Greece.
Food and beverage exports from Greece have made remarkable gains over the last decade. The driving force behind the export boom is due to an effort of Greek enterprises to reach new markets and many new small businesses focusing on Greek product exports. Enterprise Greece continues to actively support these businesses in their efforts to reach global markets and and identify strategic partners.
The Honorary Consul of Greece in Malmö, Sotirios Dikos, the Commercial Attaché, Pantelis Giannoulis, the Vice-Governor of Crete, Emmanuel Chnaris and the Vice-Governor of Central Greece, Themistocles Cheimaras visited the Greek stand.
