The prospects of Greek – French Cooperation in the field of RES were promoted at an investment Seminar in France

Athens, 13 November 2023 | The prospects of strengthening Greek-French cooperation and the investment opportunities in the field of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in Greece were the focal points of a seminar co-organized by Enterprise Greece, the state Investment and Trade Promotion Agency, the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Greek Embassy, in France, and the CCI France Grèce. The event took place on Tuesday, November 7, at the Embassy of Greece in Paris.
The gathering, attended by representatives of companies, business, and industry bodies, featured greetings from the Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Dimitrios Zevelakis, and the President of the France-Greece Business Council, MEDEF International, Mr. Jean-Paul Agon, who is also the President and CEO of L’Oréal.
Representing Enterprise Greece, Mr. Nikos Stamou, Director Investment Promotion (Energy, Environmnet and Services), delivered a comprehensive presentation on the RES sector in Greece. He outlined the development prospects and incentives offered by Greece to attract and implement foreign investments. Ms. Katerina Manali, Director of CCI France Grèce, emphasized the intense interest from the French side and the potential for further deepening the already important Greek-French cooperation. The General Counsel of IEA II, Mr. Nikolaos Belias, spoke about the very high level of bilateral relations and the excellent prospects for both countries in the field of RES.
The seminar, moderated by the journalist, Ms. Alexia Kefala, included insights from representatives of French companies AKUO Energy, Valorem, Voltalia, already active in Greece, sharing their experiences in the Greek market. Dynamic Greek companies such as Eunice Group and FARIA Renewables S.A. highlighted significant opportunities for cooperation with French companies in the RES sector. Mr. Cyril Carabot, the General Secretary of the Association of Renewable Energy Companies of France (SER) and Responsible for International Development, also participated in the discussion.
Following the event, participants engaged in a networking reception, and Business-to-Business (B2B) business meetings were held.
