Thriving in the Storm Programme

Athens, 25 November 2020 |The online event for the presentation of the Programme “Thriving in the Storm”, co-organized by Enterprise Greece and the U.S. Market Access Center (US-MAC ), was held successfully on Thursday 19 November, 2020.
The Programme aims to train technology-intensive enterprises on how to enhance their resilience and access to international markets by Silicon Valley ecosystem executives. It marks Enterprise Greece’s strategy to develop targeted tools that support the extroversion Greek enterprises in the innovative technology and services sector, towards dynamic target markets, such as the USA. It is noted that the US-MAC has been active since 1995, providing technology enterprises with fast and successful access to the global market through Silicon Valley.
The number of registered entries remarkably amounted to 192. The participating enterprises that attended the digital event were enterprises in the technology industry, which demonstrates a strong interest in the Programme and in targeted extroversion tools.
Mr.Alfredo Coppola, Co-CEO of US-MAC, referred to the prospects developing for Greece and Greek technology enterprises during the online event “Thriving in the Storm”. As he stated, the project aims to guide and help Greek technology enterprises gain access to new global markets with their products and services, with a focus on Silicon Valley, through new strategies. “The expertise of US-MAC, the implementation of the Programme in several countries and the numerous successful cases guarantee the achievement of the goal and the benefits for the Greek innovation-technology ecosystem,” stressed Mr Coppola.
The Programme “Thriving in the Storm” is the first targeted action of Enterprise Greece, which leverages the know-how of the U.S. market and in particular Silicon Valley. “The objective of the Programme”, noted Ms Betty Alexandropoulou, Executive Director and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Enterprise Greece, “is to enhance the extroversion of the sector of new technologies, in target countries, with the right tools” and invited the enterprises that meet the criteria to apply for the Programme. Upon the assessment by US-MAC specialised partners, 12 enterprises will be selected to participate in a fast-paced 20-hour programme, which will be implemented in December 2020. Enterprise Greece is planning for similar training cycles to follow in 2021, so that as many enterprises as possible can participate within 2021, benefiting from the experience and aiming at opening a door to Silicon Valley.
The Programme is addressed to the existing and new enterprises in the technology-innovation sector, which have a fully operational product or service or have already conducted sales, which wish to promote their products / services in the US but also in international markets and are active in one of the following sectors: Healthcare / Life Sciences Computer Hardware Mobile Technologies Edu-tech Robotics Financial Technologies Process Automation Collaborations / Communications for the Enterprise Data Security E-commerce Food / Beverage Nutritional Science Computer Gaming Delivery Services / Logistics.
