Totally Concrete: African Construction Expo

Athens, 18 June 2019 | Enterprise Greece, as part of the promotion of Greek exports to new emerging markets, organized for the first time the participation of Greece with a national stand at the most important international exhibition of construction materials and structures in South Africa, Totally Concrete: African Construction Expo by the Big 5.

The exhibition was held from 11 to 13 June 2019, at the Johannesburg International Exhibition Center, Gallagher Convention Center. Seven (7) leading Greek companies from the insulating materials & paints, metal constructions and solar energy systems sectors participated in the Greek mission. Construction companies, as well as large importer companies, visited the Greek Pavilion.

The Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba, opened the exhibition in the morning of 11 June and visited the Greek Pavilion where he spoke with representatives of the Greek companies.

Ambassador Roussos Koundouros and the head of the Office of Commercial and Economic Affairs in Johannesburg, Apostolos Michalopoulos, also visited the stand and discussed with Greek exhibitors how to stimulate their export activity to the large market of South Africa, analyzing the peculiarities and trade challenges of the region.
