World Expo DUBAI 2020: The largest investment and trade event in the Arab World

Athens, 15 October 2019 | Greece will showcase its participation in next year’s World Expo DUBAI 2020 at an event this week organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Athens in collaboration with Enterprise Greece.
The event, to be held at the Athens Divani Caravel Hotel 16 October, is part of a special Week of Tolerance, 14-20 October 2019, which is being held in the context of the UAE’s 2019 Year of Tolerance celebration.
Under the banner: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, the UAE will host the
World Expo DUBAI 2020 from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021. The main aim of the Expo is to promote just and sustainable development and the free of movement of ideas, goods and people.
The Expo, will focus on three sub-themes: Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. Expo DUBAI 2020 is the largest event organized in the Arab world to date and aims to create a global platform for investment, trade agreements and international partnerships. The Expo will feature 192 countries and is expected to draw at least 25 million visitors to the Expo pavilions.
The goals of Greek participation include:
- 1. Highlighting Greece’s contemporary image and success.
- 2. Promoting Greece’s modern economy, its culture and its productive base in relation to the central themes of the Expo; and providing the basis for innovative commercial partnerships that will support exports and investment.
- 3. Communicating in a fresh and imaginative way, just and sustainable development, the free movement of ideas, goods and people, and respect for the environment.
The countdown to Expo DUBAI 2020 has begun.
