Greece at the Center of International Hospitality Investment
Athens, April 10, 2025 | Enterprise Greece completed its participation at the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) 2025, the leading global conference for investments in tourism and hospitality, which was held in Berlin from March 31 to April 2.
The IHIF brings together the most prominent industry professionals each year, connecting the entire hospitality industry and attracting over 2,500 delegates, more than 700 international investors with a total of $581 billion in assets under management, as well as over 500 C-suite executives, Vice Presidents, and Directors. Additionally, the conference program featured more than 190 specialized speakers who shaped the global developments in the hospitality sector.
The significance of this conference lies in the fact that it connects investors and decision-makers with hotel groups, development companies, and government representatives. The topics covered the entire hospitality spectrum, from new trends in hotel investments to innovative approaches to sustainable tourism and emerging markets. Every year, the latest business models are presented, highlighting new opportunities for development and investment in the industry.
During the event, Enterprise Greece showcased investment opportunities in the Greek hospitality market, highlighting the dynamic growth of the sector, strategic infrastructure, and successful public-private partnership (PPP) models. In this context, it organized a high-level investment panel titled “Destination Converse + Connect – The Greek Edge – Navigating Investment Trends in Hospitality’s Hotpot,” aiming to analyze the latest trends and investment opportunities in Greece’s rapidly growing tourism sector by top industry professionals, investors, and stakeholders.
The discussion focused on the factors that make Greece an ideal destination for investments, while also addressing the factors that influence destination and brand selection, as well as growth prospects in emerging areas and new hospitality categories. Speakers analyzed the dynamics of the Greek market, focusing on asset classes such as resorts, mixed-use developments, and branded residences, while also discussing the importance of the regulatory framework in investment decisions.
The speakers were, Sachin Gupta, Managing Director, AGC Equity Partners, Li Zhang, Senior Vice President, Brookfield, Alexandros Vasilikos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and President of HOTREC, Nikita Kapustkin, Director of Development Southern Europe, HYATT, and Alex Robinson, Director, STR. The discussion was moderated by Mrs. Hilda Alyssandratos, Director of Investment Promotion at Enterprise Greece for the tourism, real estate, and creative industries sectors.
Enterprise Greece conducted targeted B2B meetings with top international investors, developers, and financial institutions, confirming strong interest in the Greek hospitality market.

This development is the result of our strategic collaboration with Questex, the organizer of the forum, and represents a significant recognition of the dynamics of the Greek market. The R&R Forum in Greece will be a milestone for attracting new investments and showcasing the opportunities the country offers in the field of tourism and resort development.”
