American Film Market 2023- Greece at the center of the Global Audiovisual Industry

Αthens, 14 November 2023 | Greece made a rebust presence at the American Film Market, a crucial gathering for the world's largest production and distribution companies. The country participated with its own stand, co-organized by Enterprise Greece, the state Investment and Trade Promotion Agency and EKOME.

During this landmark exhibition for the American and global audiovisual industry that took place in Los Angeles from October 31 to November 5, 2023, Greece’s national pavilion drew significant attention from producers worldwide, including Americans, Australians, Canadians, Asians, and Europeans. They were briefed on Greece's competitive investment incentives and the dynamic achievements it has demonstrated in recent years, attracting major audiovisual productions.

Greece's presence at this year's American Film Market provided a substantial boost to efforts to attract investment in the audiovisual industry and strengthen the Greek creative community internationally. To facilitate this, a networking event was organized as part of the exhibition, bringing together representatives from the international and domestic audiovisual industry. Enterprise Greece Team presented the country's investment proposal, offering the latest macroeconomic data, insights into the business environment, and details about investment incentives for the audiovisual industry.

As part of the exhibition, meetings were held with representatives from the largest production companies in Los Angeles and prominent investment funds. With the support of the Greek Consulate, the Enterprise Greece mission held meetings with some of the biggest studios and streaming platforms globally. During these meetings, studios and companies gained extensive insights into Greece's economic progress, the secure investment environment, and the unique investment opportunities in the audiovisual sector. The Greek delegation received an excellent reception, and the intentions expressed by the companies show promise for their future activities in Greece.

The Greek Consulate in Los Angeles organized a networking event at the Consular residence, attended by prominent members of the American audiovisual industry. Enterprise Greece Team, in their brief presentation, highlighted the continually improving investment framework and the progress recorded by Greece at all levels. They engaged in discussions, answered questions posed by attendees, and interacted with potential investors interested in international co-productions and the establishment of new studios and sound stages in Greece.
