BIG 5 CONSTRUCT EGYPT 2023-Greece participates in top exhibition of construction and construction materials in Egypt

Athens, 27 June 2023 | Aiming to promote Greek exports in emerging markets, Enterprise Greece organised the national participation at the International Exhibition of Constructing Materials “THE BIG 5 CONSTRUCT EGYPT 2023”, one of the most important exhibitions in the construction sector. The exhibition was held from 19 to 21 June 2023at the new international exhibition centre in Cairo, Egypt. The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Honourable Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt, Mr Ahmed Samir.

Representatives of major construction companies, operating both in Egypt and in the wider region, architects, engineers, and construction companies, as well as companies importing construction material, all paid a visit at the Greek pavilion.

Egypt is considered a market of great importance especially for the sector of construction and construction materials and currently many projects are being implemented in the country at a fast pace. Thus, networking during the exhibition was of great importance for Greek companies which aimed to strike as many deals as possible, as Egypt has significant development projects under way, as recently announced by the Egyptian government.

H. E. the Greek Ambassador to Egypt, Mr Nikolaos Papageorgiou, honoured with his presence the opening of the Exhibition and guided the Hon. Egyptian Minister at the stands of the Greek delegation, where he conversed with representatives of Greek enterprises and encouraged them to intensify their activities in the Egyptian market.

Following the closure of the Exhibition, on June 20, 2023, H.E. the Greek Ambassador, Mr Nikolaos Papageorgiou, welcomed representatives of Enterprise Greece, and Greek enterprises along with the representative of the organising committee of the DMG Exhibition, at a reception in the residence.
