Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) Enterprise Greece supports the Greek participation in the most important oil, gas and energy exhibition in North Africa and the Mediterranean

Athens, 13 February 2023 – Enterprise Greece organizes for the second year the Greek pavilion at the International Exhibition Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS), which will be held at the International Exhibition Centre of Egypt in Cairo, from 13 to 15 February 2023.
This is the most important oil and gas exhibition in North Africa and the Mediterranean, under the auspices of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which takes place in an exhibition space of over 35,000 square meters and attracts over 32,000 visitors from local and international energy companies.
At EGYPS, energy, oil and gas professionals come together to network, engage in business partnerships, jointly formulate solutions and strategies that will transform global energy markets and exchange information on the wider oil and gas industry.
At the Greek pavilion participate the companies ASPROFOS ENGINEERING (member of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group), DESFA S.A. and HEREMA SA, which represent the sectors of technical studies for energy projects, gas transport services and energy resource management and development.
It is worth highlighting that Egypt is a pole of attraction for Greek businessmen, as our country could act as a transit hub for Egyptian energy exports, utilizing both the upgraded liquefied natural gas station in Revithoussa and the planned floating station off Alexandroupolis. At the same time, under consideration are the electrical interconnection of the two countries and the multilateral cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean in the field of natural gas.
The exhibition is expected to be attended by the Ambassador of Greece to Egypt, Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, and the General Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Organization B, Mr. Pericles Davanelos.
A statement on EGYPS was made by the Executive Advisor and Executive Member of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Ms. Betty Alexandropoulou: “In the midst of unexpected changes in the global map, the energy sector in our country is evolving dynamically and with remarkable extroversion. Greece is now a regional energy transport hub in the Eastern Mediterranean and South-Eastern Europe and ranks second in the world in terms of the attractiveness of investments in Renewable Energy Sources. Our country has an abundance of LNG infrastructure, while natural gas exports almost quadrupled, increasing by 288.68% compared to the previous year. Major electrical interconnection projects between our islands and Egypt, Israel, and Cyprus are also underway. Enterprise Greece will continue to organize actions to promote the extroversion of Greek energy sector companies, with B2B meetings, networking events with investors, business missions and participation in international exhibitions.“
