Enterprise Greece meeting with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade - CCPIT

Enterprise Greece, represented by its CEO, Mr. Elias Athanassiou, received a delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in light of China’s upcoming import trade fair to be held later this year. The delegation, led by Yang Jianrong, included nine businessmen and representatives of the CCPIT.

The CCPIT delegation presented the advantages for Greece of participating in the upcoming China International Import Expo, to be held in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November 2018.

The aim of the exhibition is to strengthen international channels of communication and cooperation, with a particular emphasis on opening up to Europe and Greece. By harnessing the growth dynamics of its economy, the exhibition provides an opportunity for China to further commercial ties, while strengthening world trade and contributing to a climate of prosperity and growth. At the same time, the trade show seeks to inaugurate a new era of multi-level cooperation with a wide range of partners.

The Greek participation, organized by Enterprise Greece, will include both a national pavilion and stands for specific sectors. The aim is to enhance the international orientation of Greek businesses and increase Greek exports. The Chinese delegation was particularly pleased with the increased Greek participation, given the increasingly close relations between the two countries, especially over the last five years.

In light of this close relationship, both sides affirmed their mutual interest in exploring ways for further cooperation in promoting investment and trade relations between Shanghai and Greece.
