Greek Marble shines at Marmomac 2023

Athens, 11 October 2023 | United under the slogan: Greek Marble | Then. Now. Forever., 37 Greek exporters presented their products at the Marmomac trade fair, one of the world’s leading exhibitions for the marble and natural stone industry, to showcase the quality and innovation of Greece’s marble industry.
The Greek participation at the exhibition, which took place in Verona, Italy, 26-29 September, was organized by Enterprise Greece in collaboration with the Greek Marble Association of Macedonia-Thrace. It was supported by a promotional campaign throughout the exhibition space.
The strong presence of Greek companies at this year’s exhibition drew the attention of visitors to the country’s premium stone product. Worldwide, Greek marble is known for its quality and exceptional whiteness, something that has driven a steady and continuous increase in exports in recent years. Greece is now ranked 4th in the world in exports of marble.
In particularly, the central Greek stand highlighted the unlimited possibilities of Greek marble through innovative and modern applications, combining elements of tradition and future design.
Referring to the successful collaboration between Enterprise Greece and the Greek Marble Association, Executive Director and Member of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Betty Alexandropoulou said: "Enterprise Greece, in collaboration with the Greek Marble Association, implement actions that highlight Greek Marble and its brand identity, which we developed together in the last year. We are united in our aim to strengthen the image and increase the value of the Greek Marble brand in international markets.”
Julie Chaida, President of the Greek Marble Association, noted that: "Marmomac is the most important international exhibition, with a long history, dedicated to the marble and natural stone industry, and is the international hub for the industry's leaders. Our Association and all the professionals in our sector are particularly proud that this year, for the first time, Greek marble highlighted its global value in a coordinated way. We intend to continue supporting the marketing of Greek Marble at future editions of Marmomac and in other international exhibitions, because we believe that Greek Marble has its place on the global scene – Then.
