MILANO 2023 HOST Dynamic Greek presence in the professional catering equipment market

Athens, 7 November 2023 | Greece won ninth position among the national participations in the F&B and Hospitality sectors at the 43rd International HOST Exhibition, which was held in Milan from October 13 to 17, 2023, with 23 firms. Enterprise Greece sponsored the Greek participation, which featured high-quality enterprises manufacturing professional food-service equipment.
HOST MILANO is a worldwide center for the catering and hospitality industries, displaying everything needed to develop a successful business, with an emphasis on new trends and technology. It is hosted every two years by Rho Fiera Milano. It has also established itself as the worldwide B2B meeting platform for professional hospitality and professional catering, with best practices, new trends, and innovative techniques highlighted at the event.
More than 1,345 exhibitors from 43 countries participated in the first exhibition following the epidemic, with 32% having worldwide commercial activity, and a strong presence from the United States and Europe. More than 180,000 visitors and purchasers visited the worldwide show to stay up to date on the newest advances and to conduct business contacts, commercial transactions, and agreements.
According to the organizers' figures, the Greek pavilion was placed fifth in traffic among 166 nations. This year's exhibition provided participants with the opportunity to build key contacts and explore new prospects, as noted by Greek exhibitors who were pleased with the meetings they had at Host and who aspire to establish the Greek brand globally.
It is noted that Greek companies in the field of professional catering equipment, despite the crises of the last decade and the fierce competition, equipped with their know-how and experience that are inextricably linked to the Greek tourism product, managed to achieve a continuous upward trend in international markets and recover dynamically after the compression of consumption during the pandemic.
