Strategic Partnerships with International E-Commerce Platforms
The cooperation with International E-Commerce Platforms aims at the digital transformation of Greek export companies, so that they can obtain direct access to a huge customer base with millions of customers all over the world, through e-sales.
Enterprise Greece has signed partnerships with International E-Commerce Platforms that ensure higher benefits for the Greek exporters and, at the same time, provides a large number of companies with the training and technical support they need in order to supply their products and services to the e-market, in a direct and effective way.
Strategic Partnership between Enterprise Greece and eBay
Beginning of Partnership
On September 1st, 2020, Enterprise Greece and eBay, the world leader in e-commerce, announced their partnership aiming at boosting the Greek companies by enhancing their digital transformation and promotion all over the world.
Aiming at providing Greek companies with access to 182 mil. potential buyers in 190 markets worldwide, through the power of technology and together with the global e-commerce platform eBay.com, this partnership has paved the way to new opportunities, showcasing the value of Greek products in the global market and increasing our export footprint.
Phase Α’ of the program for the support of Greek export companies
On September 15th, 2020, Enterprise Greece, in cooperation with eBay, organized an online event, presenting Phase A’ of the program for the support of Greek export companies.
The program comprised a package of benefits that Enterprise Greece has ensured for the companies selected to participate in this Phase A’, which include, among others:
- Customized training program provided by eBay’s Growth advisors and a support group for successful product posting on the participating companies’ e-shops
- Higher monthly sales limits in pieces / turnover compared to the actual ones
- Free subscription to a privileged participation package for 3 months
Phase A’ involved a limited number of Greek companies from the following sectors:
- Clothes
- Shoes
- Accessories
- Jewellery
- Health & Beauty
- Consumer Electronics
- Popular Art
- Toys
- Essential Oils
- Car Spare Parts & Accessories
Moreover, the companies involved in Phase A’ had to fulfil the following conditions:
- Have at least 100 SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) of products for sale
- Operate as Β2C (Business to Consumer) companies, and
- Online presence (site, e-shop) (a desirable, but not restrictive, factor).
The companies selected in Phase A’ received customized training and support by eBay’s group of special Development Advisors, in order to create their own e-shop on the platform and start selling to international markets, enjoying the privileges and favourable terms of the strategic partnership.
A few words on Phase Α’ of the program for the support of Greek export companies
Phase B’ of the program will be addressed to all Greek companies that wish to penetrate international markets, using eBay’s e-commerce platform, regardless of their export activity so far, experience in e-channels for sales, size or operation model.
